App types
In Zid App Market, we support two types of Applications, Public/private Applications, and Shipping Applications. For each one of them, there's a specific cycle that must be followed to reach a successful integration.
1. Public/private Application: This type Includes 10 App categories:
Marketing
Customer Support
Inventory management
Accounting
Analytics & Reporting
Productivity
Finding Products
Payments
Mobile Apps
Operations
2. Shipping Application: This type includes any logistic services such as:
Shipping
Fulfillment
Dark stores
App Appearance options
As a developer, you can publish applications in two ways, Public and Private Applications, under the hood both types are the same. However, the only difference is the listing status.
1. Public application:
Will be published on the market for all of our merchants, so any merchant can view it and install it.
2. Private application:
A private application is created for one specific Zid store and is not listed publicly in Zid App Market.
Partners can create a private app directly from the Partner Dashboard by selecting Private, entering the target Store ID, and sharing the generated activation link with the merchant.
The merchant activates the app directly through the standard OAuth consent flow. No Zid review or manual installation is required.
